Didn't know it was on, but I'd like to see it. Which channel?
Question Author
Sorry, had to do some work!!

It was on one of the Channel4 channels, maybe 4Seven. 10pm.
It will be on 4OD as well.

I'm not sure how many episodes there are.

It wasn't an attack on religion. It was more of a look at how society can go forward without religion to guide us (ha) and looking at how morals are not something that religion invented but something innate in humans.

A
I caught a bit of it where the nutty american was lecturing people about the devil and his wily ways. Interesting.
Sorry Andrew. I assumed you knew. I'd have looked myself.
I watched it. It was on More4. I did actually flag up it on one of JJ's posts last night.
That seems quite sensible. If we all abided by the golden rule, and looked after each other, in due course God would undoubtedly look after us.
Ladybirder, I must have missed that. This is the second time in about a week I'm missed something I would like to have watched. I wonder if we should consider posting anything of interest like that on R&S?
You think R&S rather than on Media & TV naomi, where it might get lost perhaps? OK.
If you're interested there's a programme called Jews at Ten on More4 at 10pm tonight which looks as if it might be worth a watch.
didn't see it but might well have a catch up,
Sandy, if we all looked after each other, then God would look after us,
but if we don't believe in God, how would this work.
Watched one last week, best Jewish mother, It was hilarious.
Ladybirder, I'm just not sure many of us from R&S go to Media & TV regularly. Thanks for tonight's programme. I'll record it.
Included some interesting data in it including statistical confirmation that as religion has declined over the past 50 years so have various crimes e.g child abuse and rape and that fewer people worldwide are now killed in wars than anytime since the end of the cold war - rather contradicts the view often put forward on AB by certain posters that the World is going to hell in a handbasket
Take your point naomi. R&S it is:-)
Zehul, //it including statistical confirmation that as religion has declined over the past 50 years so have various crimes e.g child abuse and rape //

That's interesting.

Thanks Ladybirder. :o)
Indeed

Dawkins hypothesis is that as we have reduced or removed religion from our lives we appear to have produced generations of people who are (generally) kinder, nicer and more tolerant
That doesn't surprise me.
Em, I think that even if someone doesn't believe in God but leads a good life he will still believe in them.
Sandy - “... If we all abided by the golden rule...”

True. I watched an Australian stand-up comedian recently called Jim Jefferies who has a quite unique take on the 'golden rule'...
