You can have 5 favourite words. There doesn't have to be any reason, other than you just like the sound of them.... They sort of roll off the tongue or you like using them at any right opportunity.

I like - trollop
epididymus
noggin
quagmire
buckfummad (which is a made-up word of my 1st father-in-law but has remained in the family cos it's so funny......)

No, Butch... I am not on any substances. I found out yesterday that I am shortly being laid off, and rather than feel sorry for myself, I'm determined to be positive, jolly and have a good laugh on here.

I really like the word "Cantankerous"

Are you ever cantakerous?!
I'll have a drinky poos when I get to Portsmouth tomorrow evening :-)

There are other jobs on the horizon, Salla, so all is not lost. I was offered one yesterday... a lot less pay, but still an offer.

I know Portsmouth pretty well - the BF used to keep his boat at Gosport, then Port Solent, now Swanwick. We're down there next week....

You been up the Spinnaker yet? ;-)
No... not yet. Last time was all about meeting the kids and the rest of the family. It's just going to be a flying visit this time, as Bob's doing an overtime shift on Sunday night.
I also like the word "flume" - have we covered "flume" yet?

Also, "drudge" and "dirge" are fantastic in their onomatopoeic solidness.

I am certainly cantankerous on mornings when I am without coffee.

All the best,

Spare Ed
