Some gent (loose term) sent me a snotty e:mail at work today, threatening to tell my Chief Exec & go to the papers cos I couldn't get him the result he wanted. Banging on about being ignored because he's a pensioner (I obviously sound a lot younger on the phone!). None of his accusations are true and I've sent it on to my boss cos I'm not taking that cr@p! Aren't people horrible sometimes? I can prove his allegations are untrue, but it really upset me.

Have you ever being unjustly accused of something (whether at home or at work, or wherever). Evening all by the way.

When I was teaching I had to ring a parent to explain that their child would be in isolation for failing to attend a Head Teacher's detention (this was all witnessed). The mother rang back and complained about me for being rude and saying that she wanted me disciplined because I was Welsh!

Thanks for that rowan. Trouble is, it's not (us) the council, but one of our contractors who's messed up this time. But once the complainers get hold of your name or (heaven forbid) your phone number, they hold you personally responsibly. I'm getting too old for this!
Me too...I think I'm going to give it all up and open a retirement home for older gentlemen,,, I reckon that would be a winner on here.... Do you want to join me...
