Is there any laws relating to late night aircraft noise. I have an idea that apart from emergencys landing and taking off is restricted to to late night and early morning.

Civil airports will often have a limited number of night 'slots' allowed, usually for late arriving aircraft.

Are we talking civilian or military? Also depends where.
wouldn't have thought so - my relatives flight got into gatwick at 3:30 am ish and they didn't arrest the pilot
i think it would also vary by airport as to what the individual poluicy was.
