China - no idea. probably aren't any.

Santiago - Ryanair.
Here's a list of all scheduled airlines operating into Santiago de Compostella:

As you'll see, the only direct service from the UK is with Ryanair (and only from Stansted). For some random dates in June, I've just been quoted 1.79 each way. With taxes and charges that makes the return fare 39.81.

Nanning Airport is only served by domestic flights (apart from a daily flight to Vietnam). You'll probably need to connect at either Hong Kong or Beijing

If the 800 you refer to is the cost of a return fare, it's probably quite cheap. Air China quotes 831 for the random dates I've checked.

Thanks everyone I'll try out the links. I can't get any dates off Ryan Air for Liverpool no matter how hard I try, dunno why.
try to avoid China Airways, I once flew them from Gatwick to Sharjah[ its just near Dubai] and when we took off the air hostess screamed and the other air hostess slapped her face !
(2-part post):

Sorry, but you won't find any flights with Ryanair from Liverpool to Santiago de Compostella.

Ryanair frequently change the routes that they fly on and their website doesn't always keep up with the changes. At the end of 2007, Ryanair added Belfast, Budapest, Bydgoszcz, Fuertaventura, Grenoble, Lodz, Salzburg and Tenerife to the destinations they serve from Liverpool. In order to free up the aircraft for these flights, they withdrew services to Inverness, Aberdeen, Ancona, Bergerac, Nimes, Santander, Kaunas and Santiago de Compostella.

As stated above, the only UK flights direct to Santiago de Compostella are with Ryanair from Stansted. Unfortunately, according to the Aena (=Spanish Airports' Authority) website, the neighbouring airports don't receive flights from the north of England. Vigo has no direct links to the UK and A Corua only has Clickair flights to Heathrow. Even more distant airports, such as Asturias (Oviedo) and Len ,only have flights from the south of England. (Asturias is served by easyJet from Stansted. Len currently only handles domestic flights).

Theoretically, you could fly from Liverpool to Porto with Ryanair and then travel by train to Santiago de Compostella. However, there's only one train service per day that can get you there in around 4 hours. At other times the journey takes around 12 hours.
It looks as if you'll have to travel via Stansted. However, there's one possible alternative: How about spending a night in the beautiful city of Valencia? Here's the flight information for some random dates I've selected:

05 March: Fly out from Liverpool to Valencia, with Ryanair, leaving at 0935. Flight arrives 1315. Fare = 0.01 (with taxes & charges, total = 17.81).

The airport is only 8km from the city centre. The Aero Bus runs every 20 minutes and costs just 2.50. Alternatively, route 150 will take you to the city centre for just 1.05. There are also 2 Metro lines to the city.

Stay at the Intercultural Nova guesthouse overnight for 25. (That's just one of several possible places to stay found on Hostelworld.com). Enjoy the late afternoon and evening exploring the city.

06 March: Return to the airport. Take the 1210 Ryanair flight to Santiago de Compostella. (Arrives 1340). Fare = 0.10 (with taxes & charges, total = 18.09).

That way, you get to Santiago de Compostella for just over 50 from Liverpool, including your overnight accommodation. Any use?

Thanks ever so much Buenchico, you've gone over and above the call of duty. That sounds ideal for me, I'm planning on going to Santiago in June (around about 6th) and then travel up to El Ferrol and walk back to Santiago and onto Fisterra upto Muxia and then catch a bus back to Santiago at Olveiroa.
Thanks again for your help. You've effectively organised my whole trip.
Try http://www.cheapflights.com.pk/ It has all the rates from asian airlines which are much cheaper.
