Hi Abers, I've been given a marrow but I don't want to stuff it in any shape or form - has anyone got a recipe for me to cook with it where it doesn't involve stuffing/filling it?

Hollow it out and discard the inner... chop in to 1 inch size cubes... put in a plastic bag and throw it in the bin. Nasty things ;-p

Use your marrow in place of courgette.

Make soup and add it in. It suppose to be strengthening.

Cut it into rings and steam it very lightly. It's a bit like hot melon when it's cooked, I quite like it but I couldn't eat a whole one.

And then toss it in butter, pepper and garlic salt. Lovely

actually jack, that sounds nice. 10 mile menu tonight had courgette fritters in a very light batter served with steak, it looked very yummy.

i've had courgette fritters before & liked them so i might give it a go with marrow.
I think there's a Moroccan dish with it - i'll have to have a look

good thanks jd but i think snag's recipe is the best :-) but i would follow it with getting some decent choc and eating them instead x

I ended up doing spicy grated marrow pancakes - they were lovely!!!!!
