moonlight sonata

i have a version that is 5 mins and 50 seconds long, but i dont think this is all of it.  does anyone know how long the full version is?

That sounds a little fast.  It all depends on how quickly the pianist plays it and pulls it around.  I doubt that any of it is missed out. If you check moonlight sonata on itunes and click on some that are shorter (Alfred Brendel - 5mins 51) and some that are longer (Daniel Barenboim - 6mins 40) you'll hear the difference. It's all down to preference.

Also, strictly speaking, there are 3 movements to the moonlight sonata. I take it you only mean the famous first movement - Adagio Sostenuto and not the 2nd (Alegretto) and 3rd (Presto Agitato) movements.

I was talking about Immortal Beloved today - we were talking about sad films in work and 1 said the part at the end when his love was reading his letter and realised that her whole life changed that evening when they never met.  blah blah .  It was a great film.
