lol mrs c, I packed up 14 years ago now, I used to smoke dorchester menthol, I was shocked to see them at nearly 6 quid a pack now!

The hourly rate wage wise, musn't cover a packet of fags....

Some months I buy fripperies.....like shoes cos I NEED them-and I come out ahead. ie.-some money left. Other months I live on jacket potatoes or so it seems,and I am in severe panic mode by the 15th.

I am not going to answer on the cost of - Fifth Amendment and all that. Anyway I buy mine in the supermarket, a 'few' packets at a time. I think of the expenditure as necessary grocery shopping. Aren't groceries expensive though?

lol...I have no idea poodi. I work for a charity,and none of us have had rises as we were struggling with funding earlier in the year. All I know is that I am paid more than I would be in an equivalent private sector job in lets say-a nursing home.
It's still not enough.......
