There was a lot of interest in the Piano man on answerbank. For the benefit of our readers who probably dont know about the developments. He was faking it. he could not even play the damn thing and everyone said he was a concert pianist. proof, if ever one was needed that 1) the british public are a gullible lot (a german proved it to us) 2) The press can print anything and we will more or less accept it.

and 3) the care workers are tone deaf

-why did it only come out now that the guy couldn't play a tune - only chopsticks?

suppose him being a vituoso made better reading. like the poor murdered brazilian who was initially reported to have been wearing oversized clothing and that he had jumped the barrier.

Still - someone who volunteers not to talk for that long - seriously strange if you ask me!  Do you think it might all turn out to be a TV stunt?  I bet he'll be in Big Brother 7!! :-p

come on boys and girls - he was ill

let him alone

and the natural history of sudden onset global amnesia is around three or four weeks, they say.....

Tax-wasting prick.
sounds ill to me.  I suppose it's just possible he may have heard about Andy008 and thought 'I fancy having that guy's hard earned taxes spent on me' but the odds are against it. Far as I can see the press just printed what they'd heard, which is what the press is for; they don't have to make anyone sit a piano exam before writing about them.

At least this time there was no harm done by our acceptance of the story.  It's not like anyone suffered because they believed a total stranger could play the piano and then discovered that he can't!!!

And current reports say he really IS mentally ill, here so it seems unfair to call him names and be cruel.  Mental illness is cruel enough in itself and is a very sensitive issue for many, probably including many users of this site.  It would be a shame to offend and/or upset others, just for the pleasure of making an anonymous dig at a stranger.  Not meant nastily, or personally ot anyone, just a thought.  :-)

Andy008- have you always been this bitter about absolutely everything? Do you ever smile?
This site has far too many unpleasant people who are prepared to post abusive comments about people on the basis of very little information. I find Andy800's particularly offensive
Andy008 I mean.

One of the tabloids reported that he could not play a note.  Now there is a report that the care workers are preparing to sue the tabloid.

I'd love to know on what grounds they are suing.  grunty - do you have a link to the article please? :-)  Any chance it was online too!?
I have, occasionally, but not often, been known to smile.

I hope it's not true that he can't play a note.I booked him for a piano concert.

What am i going to do now?

As a mental health nurse, I can tell you that anyone who feels that they need to stay in a psychiatric unit as opposed to facing real life needs lots of help and support. It is not a pleasant experience.
