Default dimensions in Photoshop

The default setting of dimensions in Photoshop is always given in inches and I have to manually change everything into centimeters all the time. Can I change this please ?

have you looked in Preferences:Units and Rulers?

Just tried that but makes no difference; eg. in 'resize image' it always shows at first, sizes in inches which then have to be changed to centimeters. Rgrds.
