Slightly odd shop fronts amuse me too, TCL-M.

There used to be a carpet shop in Boston (Lincs) with the window full of carpets labelled ''6 foot wide', '12 foot wide' and, in the case of stair carpets, '2 foot wide' or '3 foot wide'. All of the carpets prominently displayed their prices as so much 'per square yard'. The name above the shop? It was 'The Metric Carpet Shop' ;-)

How silly! Fountain and ballpoint would have been much more appropriate.
