can you remember the newest dance at the time you started going dancing,when i walked in everyone was twisting away,what about you????

The Locomotion. little Eva sang the background words to my uncoordinated jumping about.
It was the 70's for me. 'The bump' 'the bus stop' and 'the hustle'
I remember going to youth club and doing a kind of sidways run up and down the hall. Cant really explain it.

The Hitch Hike, Hand Jive and Monster Mash, those were the days.
Jitterbug was all the rage.
So was I thetruthehurts. Bit deaf now.

I used to go to the Victor Sylvester dancing school and Rock and Roll. However by the time I was 15 it was the twist and then a variety of other dances. How about the March of the Mods, ooh and what about the Hand Jive?
the hand jive ?? did some wayward bloke try to show you the moves to that behind the bike shed lofty !!

we had body popping, breakdancing and robot. i just stuck to the two step sway and one handed pint lift.
You could,nt beat dancing to the sounds of
Little Richard or Chubbie Checker.
