Any recommendations?

I've been brought a lacombe clenser and toner but not sure I fancy one of their moisturisers as well, never really heard much about them and I'm under the impression there's not much difference between expensive and cheaper ones, (actually the cheaper moisturisers seem to be out playing the expensive ones).

So far on my short list I've got the total effects by oil of ulay or some form of nivea.

I'm 31years old, relatively normal skin but I can get dry cheeks depending on weather, I've no idea what size my pores are!

Cheers

Hey China... I used to use separate moisturisers for the day and night time, but now I don't bother to buy different ones. Lancome do the Primordiale range for the 20/30s... but I prefer the richer Renergie range aimed at the 40s.

However... I have tried Olay Regenerist and that was ok. I don't like any other high street brands I'm afraid. I've tried them all and believe me, there is a huge difference between the cheap and the expensive ones.

I agree NM... As in the cheaper ones are far outdoing the more expenisve ones as far as my skin goes! I've tried quite a few clinique, laura mercia and clarins stuff and they dry my skin out, they're just too rich! I was really happy with the boots no7 range but the day cream just no good any more.... I'm hoping my skin is a cheap date! :c)
If your skins is still a bit dry after moisturising... you may need a hydrating moisturiser. This happens to me every now and again and I use Lancome's Hydrazen range.

I take it you exfoliate at least once a week?

I used my own recipe of either salt or sugar, mixed with lime or lemon juice and either grapeseed or olive oil. It's cheap and better than anything you can buy. You can use it all over the body too.

I expholiate most days and use toner as well, I'm quite lucky with my skin in that it's generally quite well behaved and genetically young looking skin runs in the family down both sides so it doesn't need much which is why I don't think really rich products suit it.

I like the sound of making my own little concoctions to use out of household ingrediants but I know what I'm like and I'm essentially lazy plus I have a limited amount of space in the kitchen to keep lots of things so I don't think I'd actually do it as much as I like the idea. I'm also not very good at indulging in bubble baths, face masks, pampering nights etc... I'm sort of the ronseal (sp) of the beauty world, I like stuff that says what it does on the tin so I get on with not doing very much! ;0)
Report back on the Lacura China :)
I've tried all sorts to be honest but my skin is slightly oily and most of them sit on my face like an oil slick .This Lacura sinks right in and leaves my skin smooth and fresh.
I exfoliate my skin everyday with Boots cheap cold cream and a fresh clean rough flannel wrung out in hot water . I know I'm blowing my own trumpet ( well a gal has to now and then :) but I'm 62 and my skin is still in quite good nick .Lofty will confirm :=0)

Lol! Suspect you'll end up wearing a latte if they ever catch up with you Robinia!

Well it's day 2 and thus far I'm using the eye gel, day and night cream and so far so good, the cream goes in well, there's no burning or outbreak of hives etc, I think my skin still feels nice and smooth and I'm considering trying the serum I saw as I'm starting to get forehead wrinkles... Pretty happy with my little bargains so far :c)

(I've decied that if I carry on well I'm going back to aldis with a £20 and just putting my arm over the entire shelf and swiping the lot!)

I get similar comments... Do you like my vampire rhino-bat? I kept getting nagged about my other avatar so thought I'd go for something less evil and more reflective of my personality.
^ Horny old bat?
