Sorry two of my posts in a row...clogging up the beauty section!!
But what skin care routine do you do? If you cleanse tone and moisturise before bed do you also do the same thing before putting make-up on in the morning? Obviously its good to have an even base for foundation but it just takes so much time in the mornings!

Also is there a moisturiser anyone can recommend for your face? I hate how small the tubs of moisturiser are! I have the johnsons day and night ones that I use and I love the day one in particular as it is so matt on my face as I have a tendency to get that greasy shine on my t-zone. Any non-greasy moisturisers you lovely ABers can recommend??

xoxo.

I use savlon (the antiseptic cream) I recommend it to everybody I can as it helps with grease and spots, and is quite cheap and leaves your skin nice and soft!
Vichy Normaderm is very good, makes your skin look very smooth and clear of spots. Works wonders. Johnsons gave me an allergic reaction! Vichy also do an anti ageing version which is more matte. I reccomend going on boots website and reading up on all the reviews for all the skin care products on the market. Also, boots N07 is a good brand and do good products for oily skin, and both great for sensitive skin. If you are on a budget then Avon is very good. Dont use a cleanser, toner and moisturiser that are all geared toward oily skin as you can make it worse. Cleanse off makeup if you wear any with a cleanser directed toward normal skin, wash your face with an anti blemish facial wash, then tone with a toner that is oil, alcohol and glycerin free and mositurise with a cream to suit your oily skin type. Exfoliate twice a week or get a daily facial wash that is also exfoliating.
Liz Earle do an oil free moisturiser and her stuff is generally good. Sadly since menopause, it no longer suits my skin in summer so I have gone over to Philosophy Purity made simple which I use with the Liz Earle muslin cloth. I also use Philosophy Hope in a Jar which seems to suit me well.
Ps the neat thing with the purity made simple is you wash with it in the shower, no toner, just pop the moisturiser on
boots..no7 range...night and morning...clean tone moisturise....
Liz earle for everything hot cloth cleanser, toner and mosituriser x
I use Elemis and Decleor usually, but daughter has just become and Avon lady and I'm currently being used as a guinea pig for her Anew Over 50's range. Seems ok so far, one of the products was mentioned in today's Mail as a facelift in a bottle. I've always looked after my skin since I was a teenager, twice a day cleanse, tone and moisturise and never went to sleep with make up on.
Exfoliation is very beneficial and should be done weekly, together with a deep cleansing face mask. If you routinely cleanse, tone and moisturise morning and evening, you will see the benefit.

Lancome Genefique moisturiser is a good non-greasy cream and makes an excellent base for make up.
NoM, I never ever use a face mask, never wear makeup and rarely tone, never cleanse/tone at night and mostly dont moisturise at night and my skin is the only bit of me that looks less than my age. I do exfoliate with a muslin cloth....you may not be entirely right.........

Thanks for all the answers! I'm using a paula's choice liquid exfoliator periodically at the moment, it does make my nose shine a treat though! Hate that polished skin look I sometimes end up with!

I think I will have a look at the no7 range as some of you mention. I have heard good things about it! And the philosophy and liz earle ranges also sound good. Think I'll be off to boots for a bit of a nosey!

Thanks again!
Hi swan,
I use 'Clean & Clear ' oil free cleanser & moisturise with Aqueous cream ... very large tub for very little money. I use them at night & in the morning before showering.
I am told I look younger than my age (even by doctors!! yeh ok maybe they need glasses lol) and my "beauty" regime is....soap and water, rinse and rinse again then any cream that will moisturize. Don't spend anything on products that are hyped up - as I said in the other thread....it's in the genes...skin and all are down to parentage and if you are lucky then good on you. Just make sure you keep skin from going dry and use things like Astral or Nivea....that's all you need imo.
I agree daisya .. 'Simple' soap girl here ... the only one I use.

My routine is pretty simple. Moisturizer, then toner. But if you want guidance in these, go to facial centers.
