England are still in the World Cup. We've played carp so far but our destiny is still in our own hands, and if we win on Wednesday then we go through to the knock-out stages. And in both of our games so far it has been more a question of England's lack of enthusiasm and ambition rather than the other team bettering us.

We are slumbering at present but we still have the chance to wake up and show what we are capable of. Have faith.

players not playing with their heart, playing with their wallets
If there is a lack of enthusiasm against the "poorer" teams what happens when we play the good ones?
England never do well against the lower teams and always come good the longer a tournament goes on.

well said TTG - we have always tended to play better against better opposition, in both friendlies and competitive games
In that case why have we never won it since1966?

I've always had faith in Capello since he became manager but I must admit that the lack of a step up in performance from the 1st game to the 2nd in what are, need anyone be reminded, the World Cup finals is worrying.
Everyone thought we had the easiest group, that`s ***, we have too many good team players who can`t gel as a unit, tonights "performance" was pants
If I recall in '86 we were all expecting England to exit in the 1st round until the final group game v Poland..which we had to win and did. If it wasn't for Maradona, England could have reached the semi-final. In 1990 it took a 1-0 win over Egypt to get us through the 1st round...we then reached the semi-final. Now I've calmed down a bit, hopefully things will turn around next week!
My thoughts go out to the English fans whom have probably saved up for ages to see such a load of crap, which could have gone to better use at a local home team match on a Saturday afternoon. Capello needs to really work on a better team position, and what`s happened to Rooney, had a row with Colleen?
The way they are playing, They won't meet the better teams.

I feel bad for the team getting all the abuse in the press etc, why are people so quick to lose faith in them, I'm glad Wayne Rooney spoke out.
The rumour is that Capello went to the Chairman of the F.A. and asked when he gets to coach the first team players, as he's fed up with the reserves.
I'm sure I heard the fans at the Algeria game chanting "Are you Scotland in disguise"
My Jack Russell is better with a ball than England were.

But I still hope and prey, we'll wake up on wednesday (please)
