My daughter is married to a SouthAfrican and they go out there about once a year to see the inlaws but its an expensive trip.
What I want to know is how did all those England supporters afford to go out there what with the air fare accomadation, food & taking two weeks off work ect.
I heard there is over 10.000 fans out there. We're supposed to be in the middle of a reccession aren't we?
Good Luck to 'em hope they have a fab time though. "Come on England"

Yep, saving up, or more likely hammering the credit card and they will be paying for it until 2014....

I suppose it`s no different to anyone else having a holiday. It`s just that their holiday is to the football.
yer and alot get camper vans or camp
The very question I was asking myself. It reminds me of what Des Lynam said at the very beginning of a past World cup coverage. Good afternoon, aren't you supposed tobe at work?" I thoroughly agree with you jem. We can only suppose that the vast majority of people have saved up for it all. Don't envy them really.

Do you live in Southend? I was born in Westcliff and lived there until I was in my early 30s. All our folks still live there.

Den I hope you did have a stroll along the prom today, you may have noticed how Southend has changed, They had a grant of £millions to upgrade SoS the work is nearly finished, we look a bit like Torquey now all those beautiful Palm Trees.

Yes chokkie I really do live in Southend, I haven't been here long just a year so we're still getting to know things and places, I've always lived in Essex though.
