When you hear of others success do you feel envious or excited?

I personally feel envious but don't know why! I do try and be excited but it's so difficult.... I think I am maybe a bit messed up and in need of theapy....

Maybe you need to draw a line under it - and approach it differently....
I'd say your negativity towards yourself fuels the negativity that breeds the envy. Vicious circle, you need to not compare your achievements or failures to others and except that sometimes you're the statue and sometimes you're the pigeon. If you do something that doesn't appear to work then stop it and try it a different way, that's not failure, that's just whatever works for you. Taking a positive stance on something even when in a negative mind frame works wonders, (admittedly it's quite difficult sometimes but it's do-able).
