Is there any simple way of keeping them attached. After a couple of uses the hose seems to come off the fitting even though they are screwed on tight. We use a 1/2" hose.

I think it all depends on the type of hose as they keep slipping off my cheaper plastic hose but stay as thight as a knats you know what with my rubber hose
yep agree with johnny, they do tend to slip of cheaper/thinner hose

You can try putting one or two turns of tape round the end of the hose and then fit the connector.
Agree with above, cheap or old hard hoses tend to pop off. A decent hose and strong hands are all thats required!
I have a metal connector type of cable tie which we crank around the tap to keep the hoselock thing on. (Yeah dead technical, I know, but it's a metal thing you can rachet up to keep the seal tight.)

If you knew hoselock hose fittings, you would know that they have a gripper system with threaded locking ring for most connections.
If it keeps separating from hose, your hose is the cheap thin-walled type. You need to adapt it or fit proper quality hose.
Fit an external hoselock tap adapter to bulkhead taps, so you can snap couplings on/off.
Yo Chuck, filed for future reference, thank you :-)
