I have a large bluebottle flying around my house should I

Squash it

Spray it

Or catch it and let it go out side

Its FATE is in YOUR HANDS.

I usually open the door wide to waft it out, if it doesn't oblige I smack it with my football shaped fly swatter.

I hate flies but catch it. I ctahc all I can and release. Its not his fault you don't like him =)

if i splat it it will make a awful mess
If I spray it it will spin around buzzing like mad on the window sill
and it to wet and cold to open the windows

Splat is more satisfying and you don't breathe in the fumes from the spray, Bit of damp tuissue cleans up the mess, and it isn't going to spend its life contaminating your food

Let it out. Outside they lay maggots on dead flesh which is then eaten (and therefore cleared from the streets/pavements).

open the window and let it out, they are not completely brainless so they are likely to comply with wafting in the direction of the window.
