What is actually the problem, where are they?
Don't leave any food lying about outside, don't sow seeds they like to eat, get a football rattle - they don't like them.
A loud whistle scares them off
Send them over to my garden - I'll feed them.

BTW, it's pigeons without a 'd'. ;o}
Ditto, smudge.
ever heard of clay pigeon shooting, well try it, but with real pigeons. My brother would go mad if he saw me say such things, he has racing pigeons, that cost £500 to £1000 each, and sometimes more, his whole pigeon collection is in excess of 30'000, and they often come and sit in my garden, and the other day i put grass seed down, and they sat right next to it, i was mad,told my brother to call his pigeons home or i will make stew out of them, and i havent seen em for a couple of days, he took my advice and kept them home.
I find pigeons are useful for cleaning up the spillage from the bird feeders so it is not left to attract rats. Our sparrows are either very messy or very fussy and throw out the less preferable seeds.

The downside is that the pigeon's constant trampling and pecking has worn out a deep hollow in the lawn beneath the feeder..

The sparrows have attracted sparrowhawks, but so far the pigeons haven't attracted ant peregrine falcons although I believe they nest on a nearby church spire.
canary, you should be sticking up for the birds, im going to print these recipes and post them to my brother, it will be soo funny..........
