Why are hens eggs shells brown but sometimes white?

It all depends on the breed of the Hen. Some lay white eggs and some lay brown .... I suppose its a bit like some people have brown eyes and some have blue eyes.
and just to make it simple brown hens normally lay brown eggs.....
just the same as not all human s*** is the same colour
