How do you pronounce it?
Break-fast (as I do)
or
Brekk-fust? (as most others seem to).
I get ribbed for saying break-fast - but that's what it's supposed to mean isn't it - you've had a night's sleep, now you are breaking your fast.
Makes sense, dunnit?

Mo-ette et chandon ?

(not Mo-ay)
Good girl, Mrs O ...

I wouldn't order Moet either.

And I'm sure NoMercy wouldn't.
On the subject (and showing where I shop), do people say Lidl as "Lee-dell" or "Liddle"
Stars for chucky, Salla !

Claude Moet, the founder of Moet & Chandon was Dutch, not French.

So the "Moet" is a Dutch word (hence the accent over the "e")

... but the "et" is a French word.

So it's "Mo-ett Ay Shondon"
Mrs_O ...

I don't think I've ever used the word "Lidl"

=0/
