It's relief that she didn't drown, waterskiing across the Channel....
could be nervous laughter or "fill in" laughter (to fill up empty space)

it could also be a cue to viewers to laugh

It doesn't run smoothly, they introduce someone and then immediately go on to a completely different subject. I think that sometimes the guests = particularly American = must wonder what on earth is going on. And then the Bleakley is giggling in the background. She looks like a horse = what does Frank Lampard see in her ??
Do you have an off button? If so use it. I`ll bet she has done more for 3rd world countries than you, so think on.
As carlton says there is a button to switch it off, which I always use as she may be a very nice lady but I cannot stand her tortured vowels............
Exactly what I thought Smurf they introduce the guest and then ignore them, I think Christine laughs to fill in for Adrians lack of input, having said that he laughed a bit tonight.
Well if you were staring at Adrian Chiles for 30 minutes wouldn't YOU laugh! LOL
This off button answer comes up often .I and others pay for a full years television so why should we have to turn the television off because the BBC cannot be bothered to put a decent programme on at a particular time .If we buy say for a loaf the shopkeeper wont say look you may have to throw a slice or two of that out. because it wont be eatable. If the beeb get my full licence fee I want to watch 24/7 and enjoy ..
I've tried to watch this show but just cannot take to it. Both presenters leave a lot to be desired but Christine Bleakley is irritating beyond words with that wide grinning mouth and that accent.
I like her a lot and think Frank Lampard is a very lucky fella! I also dont mind the programme, its just a bit of light relief and doesnt take itself too seriously .
As for liking everything that the BBC puts on, that is a bit of a stretch to fulfil i think and im sure that there arent many people who love every prorgramme that the Beeb airs! Its a nice thought but not very realistic in my opinion!
It's Chiles I can't stand, mumbling, bumbling fool, get of my TV
I just can't stand people who don't know the difference between the words "of" and "off"
I'd rather hear her laugh than talk - her voice/accent is SO ANNOYING!

Don't switch off cos hubbie likes to watch the good bits in between their input. Maybe I should darn the socks or do the washing up ...
