Did these two women do anything immoral and roughly how much in money terms would they have saved had they “got away with it” ?

It's a wonderful instructional movie that shows you how to artificially reanimate a corpse without anyone suspecting. They got the dark glasses right and they remembered to make him wear a hat but they forgot the most important part of the subterfuge – the strings.

They knew he was dead. They had to know. Despite what Hollywood likes to pretend, the dead don't simply look like someone who is sleeping. Everything about them looks completely different; the skin colour, the eyes, skin temperature and not forgetting the muscles which all relax – all of them... basically, the dead 'leak'. I'm sure you know what I mean. Plus the fact that Rigor mortis would have kicked in and subsided if we are to believe the reports from the doctor who examined the body and concluded that he had died the day before the failed check-in.
The chances that these two women were unaware that the guy was dead is very small indeed.
I think that this is a case of two very stupid people who promised the guy that when he died they'd make sure he was buried in his homeland – Germany. However, once they found out just how much it costs to repatriate a body (anything up to £4000) they thought they'd try a cheaper alternative.
