i think you should try and suss out why iTunes wont let you rip CDs.. does it just straight now allow you, or what?

i think when u installed itunes you said you wanted to make itunes your default music player. it can be changed. i think its file>prefrences> then it says make itunes my default media player, untick this box.

sorry if this isnt 100% as I'm new to itunes and doing this off the top of my head.

then before playing any songs, go into windows media player. click tools>options>file types, then click select all.

this means that your default player will be windows, but u can play ur songs thru itunes by opening it also. and to burn a cd, just pop it into the drive and u can burn it thru media player.
