God i'm bored at work

I have four choices.
1) Do some real work (Not likely as it's boring and dull)
2) Look for a new job (Still dull, but full of imagination "I'm gonna be a monkey trainer")
3) Prepare a breif i'm giving in a few weeks on a dull topic
or
4) Grab a brew and carry on skiving.

What route do you think I should take?

Ok I have a genuine question now. Something that has been bugging me since the internet began. If you were talking to someone face-to-face you would be able to judge body language; see if there was chemistry; tell whether the other person was pulling you leg, pitying you or genuinely enjoyed your company.

How do you do that with someone you can't see or hear?
