Bad News......

'Bad news'. That's all we get these days. Has anybody got any good news? Won the Lottery, got a 'tenner' on Bingo, cat's had kittens, wife's gone back to mother. Anything for God's sake--just to cheer us up..I feel like putting my head in the oven. Even that's bad news, it's electric...HELP !

Congrat's on your new flat Jan.

Jan - is that the flat you really wanted, but someone got to it first, then it became vacant again?

That's the one Smudge. I have since found out that the lady who was offered it in November paid to have the flat recarpeted throughout but died before even moving in. I did feel quite bad about that. The lady who was offered the flat on Monday turned it down because she is quite elderly and being ground floor she felt a bit vulnerable on her own.

Ah, that's sad, but I'm sure the lady who died would be happy that it's gone to you & would be wishing you much happiness there.

As for the elderly lady who turned it down, I'm sure she will eventually find something more suitable.
