a "Nice" cup of tea
65 Answers
Why do people say that?
"Shall I make us a nice cup of tea?"
As opposed to what? A really foul cup of tea?
Nobody says "Shall I pour us a nice gin and tonic" ... although that would be much more appropriate.
So what is "nice" for you?
I like it not too strong, and with just the teensiest bit of skimmed milk (or none).
Or green tea.
As you might have guessed ... I'm just having a nice cup of tea.

One sugar or sweetener if I'm being good. Preferably in a dark cup, as it looks weaker then (honestly, you try it - make two identical cups of tea one in a dark cup and one in a white one (insides obviously) and the one in the white cup will look stronger! I can just about stomach it a bit stronger if it is freshly made but can't touch the stuff if it has been stood for even a few seconds.
