lucky she didnt have children then and had to look after them when the schools shut
And if she'd fallen over and broken her leg I wonder if they would have kept her job open?
Daft , daft , daft and I'm being polite!

Who's to say when she got there any of her colleagues or manager would be there as well to open up?

And would it be that busy if the weather is that bad?

Folks are so scared of losing their jobs nowadays they put their own health at risk all too often with no thanks for it.
Admirable of her!

OK, so I admit, I fancied a day bumming around and catching up with paperwork - but would have gone to my job today if it had not been adjourned. (About 85 miles away)

However, now I wish it would all go away and things would get back to normal because the BF is doing my noggin in and I need to get out of the house before I need legal representation.

If she had felt she was in any danger, I'm sure she wouldn't have gone. More people should be like her instead of staying at home when the first few flakes fall.
but 4 hours? ... For Funks Sake

A guy here took 3 hours to get in. Sure he was late but at least he made the effort.
Yes, stop moaning about the snow.... don't you know it's raining here..... ;-)
We have people that have driven in about 50miles here today.

And others that live about 5 miles away that have not come in!
in the mid 1970's York flooded worse than usual....it took me 2 hours to get to work when it normally took about 20 minutes. I'd been in work for about half an hour and we were told we all had to go home 'cos all the fire exits were flooded......
it would have been funny if the restaurant had a powercut when she got there
It's always the way Chuck! I live the furthest out of everyone, but I am always where I need to be before everyone else and make the effort. I get really p'eed off at those who live locally and turn up late or not at all!!!
but its not their fault you live furthest away is it ?
