The Carry On gag

"Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!"

Kenneth Williams uttered the words as Julius Caesar in 1964 romp Carry On Cleo.

Definitely the best Carry On...

However, I actually prefer the line when Kenneth Williams' Julius Caesar is feeling unwell on the ship to visit Cleopatra and his slave-girl Gloria asks if he is alright: "Just a little sic transit gloria" - now that's comedy!
lifted, I think from the radio show ITMA. The two screenwriters were friends, but the radio writer wrote it first.
sorry, that was for Berti, not MarcRae.
If we're talking just Carry On's, this is my favourite at 4.26 in this clip from Carry On Cruising

Not a classic by any standards, but it absolutely creased me the first time I saw it.

Sid James to Lance Percival. Percival is wearing a chef's hat and chef's jacket. James asks
"Who are you"? to Percival

Percival replies "Well, make a wild guess".

Love it still to this day.
For ten years Caesar ruled with an iron hand. Then with a wooden foot, and finally with a piece of string.- Spike Milligan one of many favourites!
I am serious... and don't call me Shirley. (one of the many from Airplane!)
Aww had forgotten about that one!
Rene Zellwegger (Irene) to Jim Carrey (Charlie/Hank) in Me, Myself and Irene....

..."Did you just refer to yourself in the fourth person?"

my grandson reading his new xmas encyclopaedia: "A frikan elephant" ;o)
Was watching a programme about Not The Nine OClock News earlier and was reminded about the line when the explorer and the captured gorilla (Gerald) are being interviewed.
The explorer says "when I caught Gerald he was completely wild". Then Gerald says "Wild? I was absolutely furious!!"
More Spike Milligan one-liners.

After five days in hospital, I took a turn for the nurse.

Is there anything worn under the kilt? No it's all in perfect working order.

Blackadder: Baldrick, have you no idea what irony is?
Baldrick: Yes, it's like goldy and bronzy only it's made out of iron.
"Don't tell him Pike". Dad's Army.
I enjoyed so much reading this reminscences and I remembered a one-liner from a film or TV series but can't remember what it was.
Jimmy Edwards was in it, on board a boat, and he is telling someone about his former friend, called Inigo, who fell overboard and was drowned. He Says:
"Ah, poor Inigo. In he went."

Does anyone remember this line, and can you tell me what it is from?
