I am always getting these, from banks I dont bank with,to,more unsettling,
ones I do.Abbey have recently introduced new on line security, but I have had numerous e-mails telling me my account is suspended till I contact them via a link.
Watch out for a HSBC warning about apps,I dont bank with them ,but my account has been compromised untill I resond via the link.
hmmm... it actually looks ok; when you go to it and click on 'home' it takes you to the regular Barclays page. But any doubt at all, call up the bank and check. Do you bank with them? Have you asked them to send you emails?
Are you a member of Barclays on line banking? I seem to remember that a couple of the banks are now offering this as a service, but it would normally come to you only if you are a customer and have given them your email address. If you are a customer, use your pinsentry to go on line and read the blurb - there is bound to be a reference to it. If you are not a Barclay's customer be very afraid.......
There is no Iphone App for Barclays Bank - Apps for the iphone are only downloadable from the App Store, and there is nothing on there that I can find.

HOWEVER, it appears that Barclays.mobi is a legitimate site from Barlcays Bank that is designed to look better on a mobile phone: http://www.techradar....mobile-banking-154024
Indeed, I believe Nat West also run one.
The Barclays application is a web application and should run on any phone that connects to the internet via a browser. The NatWest iphone version is an application that is loaded to your iphone
What puzzles me is why people even open these unsolicited emails?
