Why Oh Why do we do it at Xmas?
9 Answers
I spent £70 at Waitrose yesterday and £40 at Tesco tonight.
I live alone but my kids will visit over Xmas.
I bought things that I never usually buy during the year like pate, king prawns, lobster, chocs, crumpets, orange juice, scotch eggs etc etc.
I known that most of it will be wasted as my kids will not eat much, but I just had to buy things for some reason or the other.
Have you done the same?

Haven't got a clue Jayne. I scratch my head looking at what some people buy. There is only so much I can eat and no matter what time of year it is I cannot force myself to eat more. Our luxuries are the starters....which we sometimes do have during the year. At Xmas we have two and that is spread over the whole day.....
We as a family usually eat about 5 ish....first starter will be lunch....second starter will be light.
No pies...no puddings...no nuts...dips...and so on and on.
