Lucky you Bobbi. I love the Algarve and the Portuguese are so friendly. Have spent numerous holidays in Alvor, further west than where you are going. Blow the weather, you will have a great time anyway.

Easyjet is great. Ryanair is dreadful!!
magic...........geordie swingers hit the Algarve....
I've stayed in Alvor a few times too, Lofty.

It's great, isn't it.
Lovely JJ. We keep going back. Quiet and quaint but not too quiet and just a lovely atmosphere. No noisy clubs, but if you want them they are only a few miles away. Love the nature reserve aspect of it there too. In fact, I am sitting here getting all wistful now thinking of the Monchique mountains and Silves. I wouldn't mind moving over there!!
And as for the food.......................... scrumptious!!
I could happily move there, Lofty.

We had a villa in the Algarve for a long time. I was a bit miffed when Daddy sold it.

In Alvor, I stayed at a hotel called the Pestana Alvor Praia (I think it was) which was just outside the town. I love the little area down by the old harbour sort of place, where the local restaurants are concentrated.

We spend a great deal of time in that harbour area, eating drinking and people watching Jayne and also taking walks along the spit and watching the sea birds and the clam diggers. Ooooh, barbecued sardines straight from the sea and the smell of garlic................... . I want to be there, right now!!! Got any suitcase room for me Bobbie!!!
