Look at the boy.....hands in his pockets.
Look at the father.....arrogant, confrontational pose, not the sort of guy one would like to meet on a dark night.

Solution: 10 lashes of the cane for the boy and expel him on the grounds of insubordination.

Better still......give him the option...cane or expulsion.
Expulsion to...............what, though, Sqad ?
Hanging round on the streets on a tiny BMX bike ?
Question Author
jack....good point........at least Macclesfield High could then get on with a regime of discipline.
I think both options are suitable in this case sqad.

vibra....so you live in Cheshire.

Not surprised at your post.
There is a child ruled by his father who has no sense of himself and no self confidence - very sad and the school systems have no facilities for dealing with this. and to answer your question sqad - no I would not be a teacher for any money
What is it with those little bmx bikes that seem to make kids more cocky? Is it the seat or the off-road handling? There was never that with "Chopper" bikes and "Grifters"

:-)
Well you can see why the father is unemployed, Would you employ a twat like him. ?
well at least if he was riding round on a bmx theres always a chance that he might get knocked off of it by a helpfull truck driver,

we are better off without rats like these.

vibra...well, yesterday there was a thread on News (I think) about a baby to be taken away from it's mentally challenged mother and then adopted. Unfortunately the thread was hijacked by some intellectual but irrelevant posts, but surely, if this boy was taken away from it's parents at birth and brought up by adopted parents, then surely he would have had a better chance in life.
That thread seemed to go on and on yesterday. In answer to your Q sqad - there is no answer we will never know and all anyone can do is their best. I suppose we shouldnt judge on appearances here as basically the 'you have to earn respect' theory is correct - but everything these days is so mixed up that we are coming at these theories from the wrong angle and people are getting them ar$sways
the "head" has not been there long enough to earns the kid's respect?!

I'd have thought that by becoming an assistant head then a head should command respect.
Put him on the front line and he'd do hee-haw because his superiors haven't earned his respect for some other reason.
Sqad, you can't just take a child from it's parents at birth because you don't like the look of them,or because they aren't as well educated or intelligent as you would like! Maybe you would also advocate enforced abortions in this situation? or that children born disabled who may possibly be slower than their peers (educationally) be left in the woods to die as the Ancient Romans used to do with their babies.? You are sounding dangerously like certain Nazis in the second world war.

This man and his offspring are obviously scum but there is no simple answer to the situation unfortunately.
