No, can't see red wine and cider curing a hangover, though I guess if you drink enough of both, you won't care about your headache.
A big greasy fry?
A long run in the park?
Hair of the dog?
An alka-seltzer and back to bed?
Ibuprofen - it's anti-inflammatory and analgesic (sp?)

Bananas,as many as you can eat. Plenty of fluid too (non-alcoholic obviously). It is the dehydration that causes hangovers, you need to replace the fluid you have lost as well as the minerals. Bananas contain potassium which is what you would be given in hospital if you had alcohol poisoning.
Ginger Beer's pretty good for hangovers I've found.
Grapes work wonders for me!
Irn Bru then Chicken soup
Train yourself to drink a pint of water when you are pished, and to leave a full glass by your bed.

Dehydration is most of the problem.
If you wake up and feel bad, try to sleep an extra hour or so. Then have bacon and eggs. Small glass of fresh orange juice. Then water for the rest of the day.

Drinking different types of alcohol is bad.Try and stick to one type of drink.
