Desktop icon problem

Can anyone assist please?

Laptop with windows vista - the desktop icons seem to have got smaller. Does anyone have any idea what could have done this and how to repair it.

I know how to change the icon size on windows XP - maybe it's the same.
Right click on the desktop on an empty space and click on the tab that says, "appearance".
There are 2 buttons to the lower right - click on "effects".
Tick the box, "use large icons" and click "OK" this will close this box.
Now click, "apply" and then "OK".
