Whoops I do not want to submit this answer but the solution to help a mouldy cupboard is a contraption you can get at any hardware store, it consists of a container and you put absorbent crystals in it on a mesh tray thing and it soaks up the moisture wonderfully, I have one in my fitted wardrobe near an outside wall and it really works.  Cheers

Cheers Ember, the problem I have is a built in cupboard with concrete walls, the wall attached to the outside wall has a thick layer of black mould at the top. at the moment we can not use it as it it is too musty, I have tried one of those crystal absorbers before but this needs something more industrial. we have decided to scrap the mould of, use bleach it, re plaster then re paint using anti mould paint
