Bit hard to suggest without knowing what you have tried...
Not an instant result, more of a long term strategy for future years.
Local honey every day, not sure how much you need though.
Supposed to work because the bees are using local pollen top make the honey so you get a smal dose and build up some immunity.
My husband is trying that this year and it does seem to be helping.
Have you been to your GP ? and was he/she any help ?

I got slight hatfever the first time last year (I am 39) It is already starting again this year with sore eyes and sneezes (talking off sneezes I am going to start another thread)!!!!

I will try the honey theory as I am a baby when it comes to eye drops.

Try antihistamine tablets first - there are several different medications so experiment.  Benadryl used to work for me until a couple years ago when they just ceased to be effective.  I tried Clarityn which were useless although I know a lot of people use them and get on fine with them.  Now the only antihistamines which work for me are Piriton but they make you very drowsy so I have to take Sudafed tablets at the same time to keep me awake (unless I'm taking them at night of course).  Then you can try steroid sprays such as Flixonase, but you need to use those daily whether you have symptoms or not as they build up a level of the drug in your system.  I start using mine in April and continue til Spetember.  You can also get eye drops if your eyes are particularly dry or itchy (mine don't get too bad).  An alternative is herbal or homeopathic remedies which have never worked for me but I know they do for some people.  It's a good idea to talk to a pharmacist - but take care they don't just try to push the most expensive branded medicine on you.

Wow, I'm the hayfever expert today!

By Steriods i mean vacinations! I want to know short term and long term side effects!

AND if i'll actually have a summer free of sneezes and runny noses if i have the vacination.

I would have thought there was a cure for teh horrible thing.. its like having a cold/flu all summer long its a nightmare!!!!

my husband uses the new era tissue salts for hayfever and he is free from it for the first time in 29 years..he also uses beconese nasal spray..in my herb book it tells you garlic capsules are good as a preventative measure you will probably have to take them for at least 3 weeks to get benefit..sage and also peppermint tea are supposed to bring relief..

Yes cell salts are great, also a homeopathic remedy especially designed to balance the fluids present in hay fever. Both of these are so easy to take. Where herbs are concerned...'eyebright' in large doses believe it or not..The health shop will have individual herbs plus combination herbs for the ailment.  I don't actually react to pollen but I do to certain foods and dust mites, plus solvent smells and the like. We commonly call this hay fever but modern professionals are calling it simply 'allergies'.  'Rosehips' are also very good, taken in large doses  when in a bad state.  I only use these things as necessary, not all the time, so I take 6 capsules at a time to get quicker results.  If I stay off cheese I don't get allergic reaction nearly as often.( Any dairy products for that matter)
I hope you can find something that works for you soon sweetnsexy, as I and obviously the others know what you are going through!

Go to your GP and find out if a single injection of the corticosteroid 'Kenalog' would be suitable for you. It suppresses symptoms of hayfever for the whole season. It has worked for three people I know who suffered very badly from all the hayfever symptoms.
have you tried kenalog its a steroid injection that works in 24 hours and lasts for 9 months!
