New York Surprise

Hi.
Im planning on taking my mum away to New York as a surprise just before christmas. Im searching on the internet and im going round and round in circles. I have some not bad flights, �750 for the both of us, just struggling finding decent accommodation. Does anyone know of anywhere they can suggest? or sites? or am i best going into a travel agents? Thanks x

went i went (a few years ago now) i booked through www.lastminute.com and it cos about �600 per person, flight and hotel.That was 12th-17th december
try there and see what you might find.
