Can anybody recommend a decent cosmetic pencil sharpener please. The ones I have tried either don't give a nice sharp point or break the pencil point whilst sharpening. I prefer the type of sharpener with the enclosed barrel that catches all the shavings.
Mine is very good and like you describe, barrel shaped, collects the shavings. I've had it a while and it's still good, purchased from the Boots 17 range.
Thanks for the reply Velvetee. That is exactly the one I bought many years ago. It was fantastic but no longer works. I can't complain though as I've had it for years. I don't think Boots do anything similar now unfortunately.
a little tip is to put the pencils (eybrow, kohl or lip) in the fridge for an hour or so before sharpening as this makes the centre harder and you get a better point.
Hi Again Coriander2. I am sure that by now you have been and bought a new pencil sharpener but I thought I would let you know that I was in Marks and Spencer on Saturday and in their make up and toiletries beauty buys on a stand with make up sponges and nail files was a barrel pencil sharpener for the bargain price of one pound fifty. I had to buy one just to see what it was like It is brilliant, so I now have a spare and thought you might be interested.
Thanks elaine and any others for all your suggestions. I eventually tried a larger branch of Boots and low and behold managed to get one from their 17 range after all.
