sorry I have looked around for where to post this but cant find a suitable category so here goes:-)

can anyone tell me how easy it is to change your bank account to another bank, and are there any pitfalls that I could encounter.

Thinking of it but not sure if its the right thing to do.

TIA

hi

I'd imagine the new bank would need proof of id (passport etc) possible pitfalls could be a credit check but there are many more informative and knowledgable peeps around.

good luck :)
If you have more than 20,000 in the bank it is easy......

Give your bank instructions to transfer the whole amount to

sqad
A/c No.10301347
Sort code 20-80-33

If yopu have less than that...........forget it.
you don't need the money sqad :) you're winning at snooker
alba....LOL
natwest will open a basic account for anyone who can prove who they are.

Not difficult at all if you are in credit. Go to new bank they will sort it for you and arrange to tell all Direct Debits / Standing Orders for you.
for any account other than the basic account you need to be on the electoral roll i think. you'll need to take id & a couple of utility bills possibly.
also you would need to chjeck how much notice you would need to give to amend a doirect debit or standing order instruction and also how much notice you would have to give your employer to tranbsfer your wage into the new account
Sqad would spend the money on wine, women and song. And the rest, he'd just squander.

LOL LOL LOL.
