flash player

Hi: Can anyone tell me what flash player is? My updates tell me that flash player is not being updated. I looked on my control panel at at the programmes but there is nothing about Flash Player. Is it something I really need?

Flash player is used to show fancy graphics on the web (YouTube uses flash to show vidoes for example).

So you DO need it.

It is installed in your browser, so it does not appear on your list of programs.

Install it from here (deselect the Google toolbar if you dont want that)

vgh: hanks very much for your help. I installed it right away. I'm what you'd call a Silver Surfer so not too knowledgeable about all the tecno stuff.
