One of my garden solar lights doesn't light up although the others bought at the same time do. Can you buy a replacement battery for it or do I just throw it away?

The ones I have, use a standard size battery.
If i'm not mistaken, they are rechargeable (which makes sense if you think about it) so make sure you replace the dud battery with a rechargeable one.
You could check it first by swapping over the battery from one that does work.
I just bought a set and one of them wont go off so I had to take the battery out !
You can have that one if you want ;0)
It is possible that the rain has managed to penetrate into the lamp and is shorting out the system.
I tried to make one of my solar lamps which failed water-proof with sealer but it was never successful for very long.
It's also possible that penetrating damp has caused slight corrosion on the battery terminals, resulting in a poor contact. This is a common problem. Try cleaning the battery ends and the connection terminals with some fine sandpaper.
