Im off to Brighton Sunday, gonna stay the night and come back Monday afternoon.
Our B'n'B is, apparently, close to the town centre and the pier (but then dont they all say that??) and seein as neither I nor boyfy have been to Brighton as adults we dont really have to much of an idea on what to do 'specially as building sandcastles is out :-(

So can anyone recommend anything to do/see?
Thanks in advance

The lower prom (beach level) has been extensively upgraded and is well worth a walk - if the weather is good then Sunday would be the better day as the atmosphere is great when busy.

The Lanes (locals will give directions) for quaint narrow streets with some unusual shops.

The Royal Pavillion (based on the Taj Mahal) is good if you like history and old buildings.

Nightlife is varied and I'd need to know what you like before giving any decent info.

In general I love Brighton but a lot of its appeal is in the cosmopolitan atmosphere rather than any specific must do thing.

Thank you sooo much this is very useful.

We are both 23 and are into heavy metal/indie/nu metal/punk rock music so any alternative pubs/bars you could pass on would be good to know but as we are only there for one night and a Sunday at that Im thinking just a pub will do us.

Im liking the sound of The Lanes though, neither of us drive but we certainly arent scared of public transport in strange towns so we'll check that out :-)

Ok - variety of pubs in the Lanes area for lunchtime or nighttime.

Plenty of clubs on West Street and some interesting new ones in the Arches (beach level prom as mentioned earlier). Not sure which clubs do what on a Sunday but the town will be lively. They'll be posters up in the Arches area or just ask bar staff in one of the Arches bars during the day.
