Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but here goes....................

Can the conclusion of an essay have more than one paragraph?

Given that an essay is generally a short, relatively 'narrow' - compared with a treatise, say - piece of writing, it should usually be straightforward enough to conclude it in a single paragraph.
Conclusion is to put it in a nutshell in your own words usually, so one paragraph is all it takes.
Yes you can, but, as opposed to the conclusion of a book, the others are right in saying that one paragraph should be enough, unless speech marks are being included.
