December to March are the driest months, with average max temperatures of low 20s.

Check this BBC link.

During the Rugby Sevens in April, absolute carnage for a weekend.  Book ahead, pay through the nose and have a wonderful time, if only you could remember any of it.

We went to Hong Kong for a week at the end of January/beginning of Feb this year. The weather was overcast but warm-ish (16/17 degrees C) and not humid.

More importantly though we were there just before the Chinese New Year celebrations so we got to see all the preparations as well as the start of the festivities which was lovely.

Anytime of the year. Its very hot and humid during the summer months temps reaching 30s. Does not suffer from too cold winters around 20. Spring festival (Chinese New Year) around late Jan early Feb.

However, avoid first week of October and first week of May as these are Chinese national holidays and the whole country is on the move (all rich kids go to Hong Kong)!!
