Can anyone help? I was made aware of a complaint against me last September. I continued to teach the group until January 09. However in Dec 08 I along with my union rep attended a meeting whereby I refuted the allegations made against me and invited testimonies from everyone who had been present at the time of the alledged incidents. I been off work suffering with stress for 10 weeks. The some of the other students and members of staff have witnessed an complained about the behaviour of the students who made the original complaint. I do not feel fully supported by my union rep. I love my job where do I go from here?

What is causing the stress?

The allegation or the teaching?

Unfortunatly I can't help you on a legal footing but just wanted to say that wether there are grounds for the complaint or not this happens all the time. The little cherubs know exactly how to scupper anyone who won't let them get away with murder.

I should have clarified that I the stress I talked about has been caused by the way the allegation has been managed.
Where are you needee? In the UK any allegation made by a student in a school has to follow procedure.
