It used to be this by Martina McBride - In My Daughter's Eyes:

I don't know why the tears well up, I don't even have a daughter. Must be a total wuss. ;o)

The lament, The Flowers Of The Forest, played on the pipes, does it for me every time.
I've just remembered, apparently my mum used to sing Puff the Magic Dragon to me as a tiddler and I used to bawl when she did that.... sweet memory or cruel mother? Votes out! ;0)
andy - hughes - I thought I was the only Gordon Lightfoot fan in the house! (Tell anyone you read that and I'll have to hunt you down!)

Cavalleria Rusticana: Intermezzo (Pietro Mascagni) - gets me every time :(

Hey Andy, have all those songs actually reduced you to tears or are they just songs that are sad?

Dance with My Father Again - Luther Van Dross
Lore - you remember advising me on nappy holders for my first grandbaby? She's 22 mths now and her little bro' is 5mths!! How's your little one - she must be getting on now?
Awww carrot, how lovely. x
Well, my little munchkin is 29 months old and her little brother is 10 months old :oD - has it really been that long? :(
Lore - aren't they adorable - I've just had her for the week (to be honest, a week is enough - I'm knackered) took her back sunday - she lives in Salisbury and I'm in London so I can only have her in the school hols. Next year I'll have her and the little bro' for a week - I'm taking vitamin pills already!!!!
Hahaaaa, any chance you could send some up to me? I'm on my last legs! :p Just glad I decided to reduce my hours at work to part time, otherwise it'd be 'head in the gas oven' time.
My little princess has mastered the fine art of the terrible twos - perfect!! She's adorable on the whole but once she gets a bee in her bonnet - watch out! The wee man is completely adorable, you know the saying - 'could slap him on a buttie' :)

Lovely to hear from you, carrot x

mrs.chappie - sorry for hijacking your thread :o/

midnight train to georgia
Wall of tears... by Frances Black

My friend sang it at my Dads funeral mass. It reduced a lot of people to tears and there was over 450 people there.
