Hate to pick out ONE reply, all great, but, ummmmmm, yours about rushing up to your teenagers in the street cracked me up!

The nearest I got to that was when he was about 15, and parents had to go to the school to discuss a forthcoming exchange visit by German kids and when the question of language came up I quite unthinkingly said, "Oh, our visitor will be alright - I've studied German - I can speak it." What a pi!!ock of a thing to say - my lad visibly shrivelled up before my eyes - I learned a lesson that evening! (no pun)

Hi paraffin - my eldest is 30 years old and 6'6" tall so I feel rather shrivelled next to him! He's s lovely lad and whatever their age you continue to love 'em and be proud of them

my oldest is 32 this year and well over 6ft the youngest is 27 over 6ft and just been dumped by his girlfriend i could kill her, no matter how old they are they are still your babies arnt they,

I'm casting off my shawl and walking stick tonight and staying up until 12.30 to take my soon to be 30 year old home to his partner and baby, to save him the cost of a taxi.

Mums are always on hand.
