Just found a totally yellow spider (like a ripe banana colour) in the garden, not massive - probably the size of a wolf spider, yellow body, legs, everything, what is it...?

Thanks for the link, what an evil looking beast - fortunately that is not what i saw, if it was I wouldnt have been anywhere near the garden since! Mine was completely yellow, no markings at all, also not quite so menacing!!!

Appreciate your help, but please, no more pictures!!!!!!

i think i have seen one of those. it was tennis ball coloured, very round and about 1cm long
its a goldenrod crab spider, native to north america and canada
I saw exactly the same spider yesterday!  I'm sure of it.  I could have supplied the same description that you did.  I've been on the web for hours looking for an answer.  Then I thought of searching for "totally yellow spider", and your question was the only hit.  I'm in Portland, Oregon, USA.  If you eventually get an answer, and it's not from this site, could you please post it here so I can see it?  Thank you.  I love your country and the people.  I've visited many times.
Hi, We've just found exactly the same description spider on our wheelie bin! Had a quick look on the internet, and think it is this: http://www.uksafari.com/crabspider.htm
Ours was very yellow (just yellow - no other markings).
